English-speaking companion care for your senior parent in Switzerland.

When you live abroad and your parent is here, peace of mind matters as much as practical help. I provide warm, in-home companion care fully in English in Lausanne and the Canton of Vaud — with personalised written reports after every visit, so distance never means silence.

  • Bachelor in psychology & communication

What expat families tell me

The worries that come with being far away.

Most international families I work with share the same anxieties. Companion care that doesn't address them isn't really helping.

A language barrier between your parent and their caregiver

When your parent's first language is English, daily care in French can be exhausting and isolating. I provide warm, fluent English companionship — conversations, reading, humour and trust, all in the language they're most comfortable in.

Coordinating care from another country and time zone

You shouldn't have to chase updates. Every visit becomes a personalised written report shared securely with you, whether you're in London, New York, Dubai or Singapore — so you always know how your parent is doing.

Navigating Swiss admin and healthcare in English

LAMal, CMS, doctor's appointments, paperwork from the commune — I can accompany your parent to appointments, translate context for you, and help you understand the Swiss home-care landscape without guesswork.

Parents relocating to Switzerland or visiting for a long stay

Whether your parent is moving to Vaud to be closer to you or staying for several months, settling in takes more than logistics. I provide the human bridge: routines, outings, conversation and continuity.

Post-hospital recovery while you're abroad

Coming home after a hospital stay is fragile. I provide gentle, attentive companionship during the days and weeks that matter most — and you receive clear updates after every visit.

Trusting someone you've never met in person

I'm Alice Bourassin, founder of Allycias Care Services, with a Bachelor in psychology and communication and three+ years supporting seniors in Vaud. Discretion, ethics and consistency are the foundation of every engagement.

What's included

In-home companion care, tailored to your family.

This is non-medical companion care — presence, daily-life support, and human connection. Medical care is handled by Swiss home-care services (CMS / Spitex), and I can help you coordinate with them.

  • Warm English-speaking companionship and conversation
  • Help with daily life: meals, groceries, light tidying, organisation
  • Accompaniment to medical appointments, with context shared with you
  • Cognitive stimulation: games, reading, memory exercises
  • Outings and walks around Lausanne, Lavaux and Lake Geneva
  • Post-hospital and convalescence support at home
  • Personalised written reports shared securely with family abroad
  • Light administrative help with Swiss paperwork and correspondence
How it works

A simple, reassuring process — even from abroad.

  1. A free introductory call in English

We talk through your parent's situation, your concerns as a family abroad, and what kind of presence would help most. No pressure, no commitment.

  2. A first home visit — together if possible

I meet your parent in their own home so trust can start to build. You can join by video call if you'd like to be part of that first conversation.

  3. A tailored visit plan

We agree on frequency, length and focus — one-off, occasional or regular visits — adjusted as needs evolve.

  4. Personalised reports after every visit

You receive a private written summary of each visit through the secure family portal, so distance never means silence.
